SESSION FEES

Appointments with Sonja  are $230 per Initial 1 hour Consultation and $210 per subsequent 55 minute Consultation. Extended Consultation times are available at an additional fee. (Please note the APS & AAPI recommended Fee is currently $300 for a standard 40-60 minute individual psychological consultation). Telehealth based Consultations may be available following the initial consultation. You do not need a referral from your GP unless you are wanting to claim a rebate through medicare. Fees can be paid by cash, eftpos and all major credit cards (no Amex). 

 

HEALTH FUND REBATES

Sonja is a registered Private Health Fund endorsed Psychologist. If you belong to a private health fund you may be able to claim a rebate for your sessions. Rebates vary between health funds dependent on your level of cover. Please check directly with your fund for more information.

 

MEDICARE REBATES

Sonja is a registered Medicare Australia endorsed Psychologist. If you wish to claim a rebate through Medicare you will need to bring a referral letter (addressed to Sonja Plecas) and a Mental Health Treatment plan from your GP or Psychiatrist. Under this plan you are eligible for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year and can receive a substantial  rebate for your sessions (minimum rebate: $93.35 per session and up to 80-100% of the fee once you have reached your Medicare safety net).

BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS                                                                                 

Bookings to see Sonja are essential. Please ensure you arrive on time to gain the full consultation time. Please note: as a courtesy to other clients, additional session time will not be possible for late arrivals. Please allow reasonable notice to cancel or change your booking so that your your appointment time can be offered to somebody else on the waiting list. To avoid a fee please allow atleast 3 Day Appointment Cancellation notice, otherwise an amount will be charged to cover admin costs. Cancellations with 2 Days notice 50% of your Consultation Fee payable and 100% payable for cancellations 1 Day or less notice of your booking date. Please note that you will not be able to claim a rebate on any cancellation fees.
